Last Day in France

Today was our last day in France. We revisited the Champs-Elysee and La Maurais.
Jill’s best friend, Julia, served as our tour guide throughout the day. She first took us to Angelina’s, a famous restaurant that is known for their decadent pastries and hot chocolate. I ordered a Citron Tarte and tried a bite of everyone else’s, along with Julia’s hot chocolate.

After pastries, Julia took us to L’as Du Fallafel’, a supposedly iconic stop in Paris. At 3pm, the line stretched down the street for 20 yards. We waited before finally getting to the window where the man compiled the most delicious falafel one could fathom. It was stuffed with roasted eggplant, cucumbers, red cabbage, tomatoes, herbs, and fried chickpea balls and was then topped with a creamy yogurt sauce along with a spicy red sauce.

After a few more hours exploring, Jill and I made way to the train station where we would depart for Rome. The station was insanely busy and we dealt with a ticket fiasco that was thankfully solved with the help of a French woman sitting next to us on the train. On the train, we split a small bottle of wine before converting our seats into bunks.
