Round II, Paris

The next morning, I packed my things and totted them down the spiral staircase. Jill and I sat in our places at the dinner table and enjoyed the final breakfast with our family. Already running late, our family drove us to the school where a bus was waiting to take the group back to Paris.

To nobody’s surprise, we were the last to arrive and were hurried to board the bus. We said our goodbyes, not wanting to leave our host family, and climbed into the bus. As we looked out the window we could see our host mom holding back tears. At this moment, Jill broke into tears and I struggled myself not to cry. The bus departed from Angers and finally made it to Paris.

After unloading our things, Jill and myself went exploring parts of Paris that we had missed the first time. We explored Mont Matre and climbed the hill to the Sacre Couer. It was by far one of the best views of Paris. Jill was ecstatic to see this area because it was the site where the movie Amelia was filmed.

Following a late dinner, a group of us ventured to the Eiffel Tour with several bottles of wine and a bottle of Cointreau. We arrived a little after 11pm and set up post in front of the tower. At midnight, the tower illuminated with flashing lights and everybody screamed in awe.
